Why editions are very small.
Many artists offer editions amounting to several hundreds. David Marshall prefers to keep each edition small so that the reproduction you get better retains its value, (some of his editions are no larger than 25).
A unique personal touch
The picture you purchase is unique in that it is mounted in a high quality , bevel-cut surround chosen by the artist and cut by him personally to suit the subject. David then arranges the individual reproduction in the surrounding mount before titling, signing and numbering it in pencil. Thus, in addition to the assemblage being ready to ready to slip into a frame, it is also given a more personal quality . This can be further enhanced if you ask David to write a dedication on it specifically for you, or for the person to whom it may be offered as a gift.
